Applying the same rate everywhere means too much where it is not needed and too little where it would be. A variable-rate prescription puts more product where the field needs it and less where it does not. In Agronix it is created in six guided steps, previewed with totals and downloaded for the machine that will apply it.

Check rates and totals before you start

The preview shows the rate map on the field, the average rate, total product and the comparison with a flat rate. For crop protection products Agronix shows the legal notice and flags whether the field touches a Natura 2000 site. The prescription also comes out as PDF.

Spot weeding

Treat only the patches

In rice fields the colour orthophoto finds weedy rice patches and the prescription puts herbicide only there. In tree crops the tree prescription puts product only under the crowns.

For plant protection products the label, the National Action Plan and local rules apply: Agronix helps calculate rates, responsibility for the treatment remains with whoever prescribes and applies it.
