Data controller

What data, why, and on what basis
Contact form requests: name, e-mail, phone, service, location, date and job description. They are used only to reply and prepare a quote. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If the request becomes a job, the same data is used for the contract and for tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
Direct messages: if you write to info@pixelair.it or on WhatsApp, we use the message data to reply, on the same legal basis.
Technical browsing data: when you open a page, the server records technical request data such as IP address, page, date and time. It is needed to run and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
No profiling and no automated decision-making. Data is not passed on to anyone else and is not used for marketing.
Whether you must provide data
You are under no obligation. Without a name, e-mail and job description, however, we cannot reply to the request.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Railway Corporation, a company based in the United States: hosts the site and receives form requests on servers in its EU West region (Amsterdam, Netherlands).
- Google (Google Workspace): the e-mail service the form uses to forward requests.
- Aruba S.p.A. (Italy): the info@pixelair.it mailbox, where requests are delivered.
They act as processors: they use the data only to provide their service.
Transfers outside the European Union
The site's server is located in the European Union, in Amsterdam (Netherlands). Railway and Google are, however, companies based in the United States, and Google's e-mail may also be processed in the United States. Any transfer relies on the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795 of 10 July 2023): Railway Corporation and Google LLC are listed on the official register, dataprivacyframework.gov.
How long
Requests and messages: as long as needed to handle them; if they become a job, the job records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law.
Technical browsing data: available for 30 days in the server log, and used only in case of faults or abuse.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest, by writing to info@pixelair.it or to the certified e-mail address above. If you believe the processing breaches the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali): garanteprivacy.it.
Website assistant
The website assistant answers with the text of these pages and the shop's prices. Your question reaches our server, in Railway's EU West region (Amsterdam, Netherlands), only to look up the answer: it is not stored, not written to logs and not sent to other services. The question is matched against the texts on our own server.
If you choose “Request a quote”, the question is copied into the contact form only in your browser and reaches us only if you submit the form. To prevent abuse, the server keeps the IP address and the number of questions in memory for ten minutes, without their text.
Exam simulator and manual purchases
To use the exam simulator we ask for your email, to which we send the access link. On our server, in Railway's EU West region (Amsterdam, Netherlands), we keep the email, the number of tests used, your latest tests with their results and the questions already shown, so as not to repeat them. The access link is valid for twelve months. Legal basis: the service you request. We keep these data while you use the simulator; you can ask for deletion at info@pixelair.it.
To buy the manuals we ask for name, surname, tax code, address and email, and for companies the company name, VAT number and SDI code or PEC; we also record the date, time and IP address of the acceptances. They are used to deliver the manuals, give access to the simulator and issue the invoice. Name, email and order number are printed on every page of the PDF. Payment is handled by SumUp: only SumUp sees the card details. Emails are sent from the amministrazione@pixelair.it mailbox (Aruba S.p.A.). Legal basis: the contract and tax obligations; order data are kept for ten years, like accounting records.
Cookies and third-party content
The site uses no cookies, neither profiling nor analytics. If analytics tools are activated in future, this notice will be updated beforehand.
YouTube videos load only when you press play, from the youtube-nocookie.com domain. Before the click nothing is requested from YouTube; afterwards YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and may store data on your device, under Google's privacy policy. The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp: from there WhatsApp's own terms apply.
Drone footage
Services may capture images including people or property. Footage is limited to what the commissioned job requires and is delivered to the client; public release only happens with the consent of identifiable people.
