Trees and heights
Count and measure the trees
The survey with heights finds every tree and measures its height, canopy and volume. From the same terrain model: rice paddy levelling and stockpile volumes.
For orchards, olive and hazelnut groves the survey with heights builds the surface model and the terrain model. The difference gives the height of everything above the ground: Agronix finds the tree tops, draws each crown and measures height, diameter, vigour and volume. The same models are used for rice paddy levelling and for the volumes of stockpiles, silage clamps and manure heaps.
Every tree with its own record
For every tree height, crown diameter, vigour and crown volume; for the field the count, totals and per-hectare values. Trees appear as points on the map and download for other software. Crown volume is used to dose treatments on the actual plant.
- Height, crown and volume of every tree
- Count and per-hectare values
- CSV, KML, shapefile and GeoJSON
Spray only where the crown is
From the counted trees comes a prescription for the spraying drone: the rate goes only on cells under a crown, with a margin, and elsewhere you choose the rate, usually zero. The file loads from the microSD and is used in the drone's orchard operations.
- Rate only under the crowns
- Margin around every crown
- File for the spraying drone's microSD
Level paddies and measure stockpiles
Levelling reads the terrain model in one-metre cells, compares it with a flat plane or with the field's slope and tells how much of the field lies within ±2.5, 5 and 10 cm, how much cut and fill is needed, with contour lines. For stockpiles, silage clamps and manure heaps you draw the perimeter and Agronix computes the volume.
- Cell-by-cell deviation in centimetres
- Cut, fill and contour lines
- Net volume, maximum height and warnings

How it works
- 01
Choose «with heights»
In the new survey: processing takes longer.
- 02
Count the trees
From the survey page, field by field.
- 03
Read the values
Height, crown and volume, per tree and per hectare.
- 04
Use the results
Tree prescription, exports, levelling, volumes.
In detail
- Check
- On an olive grove with 2,426 hand-marked crowns: precision 0.92, trees found 0.85.
- Crops
- Orchards, olive and hazelnut groves and row trees with separate crowns.
- Levelling
- 1 m cells, flat or sloped plane, GeoTIFF of deviations in cm.
- Volumes
- Base computed on the heap's toe or at a fixed height; tested on a cone of known volume within 1 %.
